Level 2 Session 1: Tue 15 May 2007

This is the first of two sessions and addresses technical and tactical aspects of playing Association Croquet. The second session (on 1 July) addresses further tactics.

Participants (as at 27 April): -

Jenny Burrows, John Hindley, Margaret Read, Tony Dyson.

Times:

Morning - Teaching session 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Both courts have been booked for coached/observed games for the afternoon, for those who wish to stay.

Content:

Thin and thick take-offs
Split shots, including hoop approaches
Personal ratios/stop shots/rolls
Laws: faults and errors, forestalling
Using bisques to build 4 ball breaks
Openings
Pegging out strategy
Winning matches by strategising bisque use

Afternoon: -

Half lawn 14 pt games
Full bisques to a base of 6½
