COVID-19

NEW PLAYING ARRANGEMENTS

from Mon Jun 29th

Dear All,

How very pleasing it is to see so many members enjoying playing our favourite game of croquet. Hopefully as restrictions ease and more members come out of isolation more of you will be able to return to playing.

With the increase of available lawns and therefore an increase in equipment to be made available for you, together with the changeable weather meaning users of lawn 2 need somewhere dry and socially distance safe to shelter. it has been necessary to change our original arrangements slightly. This change will also mean that the hoop trolley for lawn 1 will be available for those who struggle to carry hoops down to the lawn.

So,
from Monday 29th June, the equipment you need will be stored in the cabin. To ensure social distancing rules are adhered to, only one lawn pair should go in at a time (we're becoming very proficient at queuing in various other situations so this should not cause you a problem!). I suggest a one way system entering via the end door and leaving through the front would be helpful.

The keys to both cabin doors will be available as advised in your recent individual emails. We will continue to use the same toilet - nearest to the mower shed. Please note that cabin door locks require two full turns.

Please continue to observe the existing requirements re washing equipment etc, but do this outside the cabin so we don't have a slippery floor.

As always, it is the responsibility of the last person to leave to check all doors are locked.

Finally, I am sure you will all want to join me in thanking Dorianne for the sterling work she is doing taking bookings for the lawns throughout this difficult time.

All the best
Rhona
