New Instructions to Players       Covid-19 Infographic

Dear All,

As you will know, the government has eased some of the Coronavirus lockdown regulations which means that we may play croquet again, but only under very specific regulations, in particular that you may play AC or GC singles games only.

There are very specific, important instructions you must follow if you wish to take advantage of this opportunity.

These are detailed in the Covid-19 document links here and above
- click links to read.

New Instructions to Players       Covid-19 Infographic

We have done everything we can to minimise the risk of infection but please note that if you do play you do so at your own risk in the full knowledge of the risks and the government’s rulings re social distancing and hygiene. You may also like to wear disposable gloves for handling equipment and padlocks, but please still wash them after use.

So how do you get to play?

Play is only available for fully paid up members of the club.
Initially there will only be two lawns available as we are in the middle of a programme of applying selective weedkiller to the lawns in rotation.
This week (w/c 18 May) you will use lawns 1 and 3.
You will be advised as and when this changes.

As you will realise, we don’t know how many members will want to play so may have to make changes to arrangements as we go along. Keep checking your emails just in case.

If you do not have your own mallet you will be able to borrow a club one on long term loan until we return to normal.
Please contact me (Rhona)if you need this.

Dorianne has kindly agreed to operate a booking system for you to access the lawns.
Sessions will be 10.30a.m. to 12.30p.m. and then 2p.m. to 4p.m.
You may make bookings from 9a.m. to 8p.m. each day for play from Monday 18th onwards.
Please do not ring her before or after these times.
As far as possible, please find your own partner before booking. If you are unable, Dorianne will try to help. As all members have agreed to share their contact details, members lists will be available at club.
Dorianne can be contacted either by phone or email.

If you use email or leave a phone message do not go to club until Dorianne has confirmed your booking.

Finally, a big word of thanks to members who have worked tirelessly over the past week to get the lawns ready for you and set up this system. Without their efforts you would not have the opportunity to play until much later.

All the best,
Rhona
