Longman Cup 2005 - 2nd Round

Wed July 6, 2005 - Longman Cup - 2nd Round v Dyffryn

The Longman cup is a Croquet Association knockout event.

A team of mid range handicap players, Malcolm Hooper, Tony Jennings, Nigel Grant and Paul Schofield travelled to Budleigh Salterton for the second round of the Longman Cup. 

Budleigh kindly hosted the match which was played in cool, cloudy weather. 

Dyfryn (South Wales), represented by James Clancy, Sue Mackay, David Scott and Marian Clancy, were the winners 5:2, however the games were tight, demonstrating the worth of the handicap system.

Final Score: Dyffryn 5  Cornwall 2.
