The glorious sunshine on Sunday was perfect for Cornwall Croquet Club's first Doubles Tournament.

Couples played 3 matches of two and half hours duration, with short breaks for refreshment and suntan cream application!

Nigel Grant and David Edwards, with 3 wins, were the winners of the Wilson Salvers (given by Ian Wilson, Vice Chairman and the Club's primary coach). The salvers will be presented at the Club's Finals Day on Sun Sep 18 2005. 

The other couples were Paul Schofield and Stephen Read, Malcolm Hooper and Barry Edwards, and Tony Jennings and Rosemary Bradshaw.

Malcolm, Tournament Secretary, organized the competition which was enjoyed by all the players as was the delicious tea which followed the event.
