Thu Aug 4, 2005 - MELLANGOOSE HOSTS GOLF CROQUET TOURNAMENT
The weather proved to be perfect for the Golf Croquet Doubles Tournament held at Mellangoose, Nr Helston.
Paul and Elizabeth Schofield run a club at their home there and Paul has made a full sized court, which is used regularly by the members.
Players from all over Cornwall congregated for the event which was a light hearted affair starting at 10am, with a break for a substantial and delicious barbecue lunch, then more play, and finally afternoon tea before the party broke up.
Final result: Barry and David Edwards (members of both Cornwall and Fowey Croquet Clubs) were the winners with 28 points.
