Thu Jun 1 2006 - Cornwall's B team wins over Sidmouth.
Cornwall Club's B League team played away to Sidmouth in perfect weather conditions, their first match in this year's South West Federation's B League competition for high handicap players.
The morning's games did not go too well for Cornwall with only one win in the three games, a doubles and two singles; the lawns were very dry making for fast conditions resulting in some erratic play.
However, the Cornwall team members settled down in the afternoon, playing steadily to achieve wins in all four games.
Sidmouth's team comprised Graeme Pryor (Cap), Helen Pryor, Nancy Temple and Doug Sinclair.
Cornwall's team comprised Colin Hadley (Cap), Elizabeth Schofield, Paul Scofield and Rosemary Bradshaw.
Result: Cornwall 5 : Sidmouth 2.
