Cornwall Porthpean v Cornwall Rosevear at Cornwall
Porthpean fielded a team of eight players to Rosevear's seven players.
The morning was cold and dry and everyone was dressed warmly for the days play.
Sixteen singles games of 45 minutes in length were played and four doubles games.
Eleven of the sixteen games went to time with the vast majority being closely fought with just one or two hoop difference and two games resulting in draws.
After lunch the weather changed, and soon the lawns were white with hail stones.v After a brief interlude, play continued with again three games going to time.
Porthpean's Joyce Wilson, with newcomer Graham Clark held Rosevear's experienced players David Edwards and Des Honey to a three all draw, and Porthpean's Russell Moore and Janet Bell beat Rosevear's Maggie Dawson and Stephen Read 7 hoops to 1. This was just Janet's second game with the Porthpean side as she only joined the Club last year.
