Cornwall Rosevear with a team of 6 players welcomed Barnstaple's team of 8 players on Friday, an overcast day with rain threatened for later.
The match started promptly at 10.00 am. 12 singles games were played before lunch, with Rosevear finishing slightly ahead.
Lunch was a welcome break with hot Cornish pasties followed by strawberries & ice-cream which was much appreciated by everyone.
The afternoon session of 4 doubles & 4 singles games started in fine drizzle which gradually turned to steady rain.
Rosevear won 3 of the 4 doubles but Barnstaple won 3 singles with 1 draw.
Cornwall Rosevear won 10 games, Barnstaple 8 games with 2 games drawn.
Final Score: Cornwall Rosevear 11 Barnstaple 9
