Dear Fellow members,

Halloween Pegging Out Party

This will take place on Monday the 31st October at 12 noon in the College Pavilion when a Buffet of Soup and Ploughmen's will be served at an inclusive cost of £4 per head. Wine will be available at additional charge. This annual event was well supported last year and we hope to see you all once again. Dress up for the occasion if you dare! Please complete and return the attached slip to Janet ASAP, as this will be most helpful in arranging catering etc.

Christmas Party

This will once again be held at the Fowey Hotel on Friday 16th December - 7.30pm for 8.00pm. Sylvia will be sending out the details and cost to you in mid November which will include a tear off slip for you to return to her by the 7th December. This event was over subscribed last year so it is essential that you get in touch with Sylvia without delay to reserve your place. Once again 'party pieces' and entertainment— will be on the menu. Rosemary has once again very kindly invited members to her home for drinks at 6.30pm prior to departing to the Hotel.

Winter Social Event

So that the membership may keep in touch during the winter months your committee recently discussed the possibility of arranging an evening meal for February 2006 and discussions are now taking place with local hostelries. It is hoped to include further information in the next newsletter.

Chairman & Secretary

Having held their current posts for three years both Rosemary (Chair) and Reg (Secretary) will be resigning their posts at the AGM 2006. None of the present committee is able to take over these positions and it falls therefore to the members to consider nominations for these positions since both posts need to be filled.

Advance Notice-AGM

This will be held on the 6th March 2006 at 1.30pm at the College Pavilion. More information will be included in the next newsletter.

Winter Playing Venue

The Fowey Hotel has once again very generously offered the club the use of the Tea Garden where we can continue to play throughout the winter months. Members should liaise amongst themselves to arrange games. Keys to the shed in which the equipment is kept, can be secured from the Hotel reception to where they must be returned after use.
