We 've started! The Fowey Croquet Summer Season is now well under way, after an unfortunate start due to the very heavy rain, followed by 'motor traffic' driving over the playing area! The Croquet Lawn has now moved with the backing of the College to an area slightly further from the pavilion and our gallant mowing team headed by John Anson and George Cussans are working hard to improve the quality of the grass. Richard Tuxford for the College has made a ruling that no cars whatsoever are to drive on to the playing field, so we must now park at the top and walk down. Please do remember this request. We look forward to both Club Sessions on Mondays, afternoons at 2pm and evenings at 6.30. |
Chairman of the C.A. Development Committee visits Fowey ClubPatricia Duke-Cox, Chairman of the Development Committee for the Croquet Association will be visiting us on Monday 16 th May at 2pm. It would be great to have a good turn out of members, particularly as she has helped us to obtain equipment already, and could well help us in the future. |
