Seven Cornwall players travelled to Sidmouth for their third fixture of the season.
In the Singles games: Trevor Bainbridge(C) beat both Anne Gedge(S) and Rob Matthews(S) 7-3, Gill Clarke(C) beat Sue Winnard(S) 7-3, Kathryn Smith(C) beat John Coombe(S) 7-5 and drew with Michael Hide(S) 6-6, Howard Rosevear(C) beat Rob Matthews(S) 7-4, Kathleen Moorshead(C) beat John Coombe(S) 7-4 and Keith Thorley(S) 7-2.
Janet Bell(C) narrowly lost out on a golden hoop to Michael Hide(S) and Rhona Foster(C) lost a golden hoop to Keith Thorley(S).
So at end of the singles Cornwall Porthpean were 1 point in arrears at 7.5 to 8.5 with one draw, with 13 out of the 16 games completed within the time limit.
In the Doubles: Rhona Foster & Howard Rosevear (C) beat Keith Thorley & Sue Winnard 7-3 and Gill Clark & Janet Bell then also beat the same Sidmouth par 6-5.
After a day of sunshine and showers Cornwall had lost to Sidmouth by 10.5 - 9.5.
Final Score: Sidmouth 10.5 Cornwall Rosevear 9.5
