We are continuing to play club sessions Monday afternoon and evening and also on Tuesday afternoon, but do need more people on Tuesdays for that session to be viable. It would be appreciated that if you intend to play, that you arrive no later than 3pm. on Tuesdays otherwise there is the likelihood of the session leaders returning home after that time. If you are wishing to play; but know you will want to arrive later than this time, or 7.30pm. on Mondays, then kindly ring Sylvia & John Anson on 834839 for Tuesdays, or Reg on 833716 for Monday evening. We are also able to play on Tuesday evenings, and members so wishing can obtain the keys from Rosemary or Reg who will be able to tell you if the lawn is available or booked for one of our club competition matches.

We received a number of letters from members expressing their concern at the condition of the grass we play on and this was discussed at our last committee meeting. Richard Tuxford - Business Manager Fowey Community College - has indicated that the college plan to improve the quality of the turf of the cricket pitch outfield. Unfortunately this is the only available area for us at the present time.

A most enjoyable day was spent at Plymouth Croquet Club in May, a visit to Stephen and Margaret Read's delightful garden at

Readymoney with tea and croquet, and a Summer Party at the college, have completed our early summer social programme.

Thank you to all the committee members involved in organising these events and here's hoping to see players continuing to enjoy their croquet during the coming summer months with appropriate fair weather conditions. Come on Michael Fish, do your best!
