FOWEY'S WINNING STREAK CONTINUES

The sun shone and Fowey's winning streak continued in their South West Federation Association Croquet B League Match v Exeter on Monday, 4th June 2007.

The games were mostly close, with the Doubles in the morning going to Fowey's Barrie Edwards and Margaret Read + 2 against John Paterson and Dick Hoffman (Exeter).

Of the six Singles games, two in the morning and the rest after lunch, two went to the peg, with impressive scores, Reg Wapling (Fowey) plus 13 to John Paterson (Exeter), and Stephen Read (Fowey) plus 11 to Dick Hoffman (Exeter), with the remaining 4 games finishing on time.

Result:  Fowey 6   Exeter 1.

Fowey have not as yet suffered a defeat in this, their inaugural season of competitive croquet.

With Tony Jennings acting as Non-Playing Captain, Fowey's team was : Barrie Edwards,
Margaret Read, Reg Wapling and Stephen Read.

Exeter's team was: Sandra Paterson, Dick Hoffman, Brian Lethbridge and John Paterson..
